First Post! November 29, 2007
I’m about two months late in getting some sort of blog set up to keep people updated on things here. So over the next few days I’m going to compose a few posts in retrospect about my experiences thus far. Anyway, it’s been quite the contrast between where I was this time last year at this time. My home in DC rocked, and miss it a lot. I spent 5 years transforming from a confused, awkward teenager to a natural urbanist. Eric, my stellar roommate and best friend there can attest to this (he’s front and center on the Yahoo pic). Most of you know how wonderful I think DC is, and a few of you probably know how much I hated it at first. This time of year, last year, as I remember it was indisputably one of the best times of my life. It started with me witnessing history as the Dems finally took some control in government, and ended with a rocking New Year’s Eve, literally. Almost on a daily basis there was some event to attend, some party to go, some havoc to wreak. November and December were simply full of cheer and magic, something that I’m definitely missing over here in Hyderabad. So as a tribute to my time on the East Coast and a means to test out a photo plugin I just installed, here are some pictures from Washington DC:
