I am an Economics PhD Candidate at UC Santa Barbara with fields in Labor Economics and Econometrics.  I have extensive experience working in the private sector in addition to my academic career.  I am a natural-born U.S. citizen, originally from Chicago, IL. My research interests include intergenerational mobility, occupational choice, and the analysis of education.  In my job market paper, I document intergenerational educational mobility in the United States, 1979-2013.  I find that while aggregate educational mobility has remained stable over this time period, it has decreased substantially for blacks in the past 20 years. I am currently on the job market and will be available for interviews at the 2016 ASSA meeting in San Francisco.
